Fight the Department of Educations
"Core 4 Curriculumn"
The department of education is in the process of exploring the possibility of requiring all Louisiana students (including private schools) take 4 Math, 4 Science, 4 Social Study and 4 English classes. This would only allow 6 electives for graduation. Foreign languages and the arts would have to fight over these students. If you have seen positive results from you band, art or choir experience or for your child speak out.
